Palm Acid Oil (PAO) is a by-product obtained during the chemical refining process of crude palm oil. It is generated during the neutralization stage where free fatty acids (FFA) are separated from refined palm oil. Palm Acid Oil primarily consists of free fatty acids, neutral oil, moisture, and minor impurities. Due to its high FFA content and cost-effectiveness, PAO is widely used in soap manufacturing, biodiesel production, animal feed (processed grade), and other industrial applications. It is a dark brown, viscous liquid with strong fatty characteristics and serves as an economical raw material for various oleochemical industries.
